NOTE:

This is a fixed part-time position for 4days/week (20 hrs) with a starting pay of $15.00/hr guaranteed. After a 30-day performance evaluation, you will be considered for an increase.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 12PM - 4PM

Responsibilities Offer friendly companionship to a mobile elder in lithonia. Companyh and emotional support is key. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed, per her request. such as grooming, dressing, mobility, and meal preparation to ensure comfort and safety Observe and monitor residents' health status, noting changes in behavior or condition to inform care plans. Support elder with medication reminders and basic health monitoring like vital signs when trained to do so. Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through light cleaning duties to promote hygiene and comfort.

Engage elder in social activities:

walking, hobbies, and conversation to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being. There is a family vehicle that can be used. You must have a valid Driver Licencse. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly desirable Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration support, and care plan adherence Experience with home health or hospice care environments is a plus Familiarity with safety procedures such as CPR and first aid certification is preferred Ability to lift heavy objects safely when assisting with mobility aids like Hoyer lifts or resident transfers Strong communication skills for working collaboratively with healthcare teams, residents, and families Requirements Must have reliable transportation Must have HS Diploma or GED CNA license preferred Must live within a 5-mile radius of Lithonia GA Non-smoking and drug-free Caregivers 2 References that will be contacted This position offers an enriching opportunity to provide heartfelt companionship and uphold Christ-centered values of loving kindness while supporting essential daily functions.
