Job Description:
Intro Our client, a well-known global company in the food and beverage industry, is seeking a Compensation Lead to support their team on a contract basis. This role will cover a leave and offers the opportunity to work on high-impact, global compensation initiatives. Title Compensation Lead Location Chicago, IL (Hybrid - onsite Tuesday-Thursday, remote Monday & Friday) Pay Rate Up to $74.09/hour Contract A few months (To be determined) Description The Compensation Lead will play a key role in driving compensation strategy and execution across North America support functions, as well as global capability centers in India and Mexico. This position partners closely with HR Business Partners and business leaders to provide guidance on job evaluations, market benchmarking, salary structures, and incentive plan design. The role requires strong analytical and technical expertise, along with the ability to navigate complex, cross-functional environments and lead large-scale initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Develop and administer compensation programs across multiple countries
  • Execute annual salary planning and incentive cycles
  • Conduct and oversee job evaluations, including executive roles
  • Design and implement compensation policies to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness
  • Manage salary survey participation and salary structure development
  • Deliver compensation-related training to stakeholders
  • Identify process improvements and recommend policy enhancements Basic Qualifications
  • 7+ years of compensation experience
  • Deep expertise in compensation strategy, program design, and analytics
  • Strong Excel and technical/analytical skills
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in complex environments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to influence without direct authority Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with India and/or Mexico labor markets
  • Korn Ferry Hay job evaluation experience
  • Background in change management within COE or shared services models
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or similar certification Education Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred Apply Today!
