About the Role We're looking for a Composite Design Engineer to innovate and develop cutting-edge composite structures. In this role, you'll leverage your expertise in CAD and FEA to validate designs and ensure manufacturability. Responsibilities Engineer composite structures and components for diverse applications, ensuring optimal performance. Utilize analysis and simulations to validate design integrity, contributing to product reliability. Work closely with cross-functional teams to guarantee design feasibility and efficient manufacturing processes. Generate comprehensive technical documentation, including detailed design specifications and insightful reports. Stay informed on the latest industry advancements in composite materials and technologies, driving innovation. Actively participate in design reviews, offering valuable feedback to enhance project outcomes. Support prototype testing and evaluation, ensuring alignment with project requirements and performance standards. Qualifications Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline. Demonstrated experience in composite design and engineering. Proficiency in composite materials, manufacturing processes, and design software (e.g., CAD/CAM). Solid problem-solving capabilities coupled with keen attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Preferred Skills Experience with GD&T, PFMEA, DFM/DFA, tolerance analysis, and blueprint reading. Experience in a manufacturing setting. Project management experience.
