Job Description

Category Imaging - CT Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity for an experienced professional with strong imaging skills in CT to advance their career in a supportive, patient-focused environment on a contract basis. The successful candidate will operate computerized tomography scanners following established protocols under the supervision of certified radiologists. This role is vital in producing high-quality radiographs for the diagnosis of disease or injury and will also involve assisting with special procedures while upholding safety and quality standards.
Schedule/Hours:
Contract position; specifics to be discussed during the interview process.
Key Qualifications:
Expertise in Imaging - CT is required. Demonstrated ability to follow protocols and work under physician direction. Proven capability in providing age-appropriate patient care. Previous experience assisting clinical education for student technologists. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Familiarity with hospital safety and radiation protection policies (including ALARA principles). Proficient in computer systems for entering orders, diagnoses, and relevant clinical histories. Current licensure and commitment to completing mandatory annual in-services.
Primary Responsibilities:
Produce diagnostic CT scans of required anatomical areas as ordered by physicians. Prioritize patient care and safety throughout imaging procedures. Support clinical education for assigned student technologists. Minimize repeat examinations by efficient use of imaging equipment and accurate procedures. Instruct and prepare patients for scans, ensuring understanding and consent. Communicate effectively with radiologists and other healthcare team members regarding procedures. Abide by policies related to patient confidentiality, departmental guidelines, and safety protocols. Participate in department projects and uphold organizational values.
