Job Description

Computer Hardware Specialist 3-6 Month Contact Part Time Position - 30+ Hours/Week $25.00 to $30.00/
Hour Job Summary:
We are seeking a Computer Hardware Specialist with 2-3 years of hands-on experience in setting up computers and managing cabling. The ideal candidate will assemble, configure, and maintain computer systems while running and organizing network and power wiring to support efficient IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble, configure, and deploy desktops, laptops, and peripherals. Install, test, and maintain internal and external hardware components. Run, organize, and manage network and power cabling in office or data center environments. Troubleshoot hardware, connectivity, and peripheral issues. Maintain accurate documentation of hardware inventory, wiring layouts, and system configurations. Collaborate with IT and facilities teams to support hardware upgrades or office moves. Ensure all setups comply with safety and organizational standards.
Qualifications:
2-3 years of experience in computer hardware assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with networking basics, including Ethernet cabling standards. Skilled in using hand and power tools for cable routing and installation. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Familiarity with Windows, macOS, or Linux operating systems is a plus. Physical ability to lift equipment and run cables in various environments.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with server hardware setup and maintenance. Knowledge of structured cabling systems and cable management. Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent are advantageous.
Work Environment:
On-site work in offices, data centers, or industrial settings. May involve bending, lifting, and working in tight spaces for cabling tasks.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
