Half Moon Bay, CA Job Details Full-time $50 - $75 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Teamwork Excavator Construction safety management Excavation Employee relationship building Company vehicle operation Drills Construction industry experience Construction machinery maintenance Loader operation Skid steer loader Materials handling Construction grading Fixed asset management Full Job Description The Asset Manager is responsible for the developing protocols for and ensuring optimal transport, handling, storage, maintenance, loss prevention of all Fincon assets such as tools, vehicles, off highway equipment, materials, and assets. The Asset Manager is responsible for driving personal and company vehicles, creating optimal daily logistics of the assets. The Asset Manager is responsible for representing and working to the best interest of Fincon's contracts, professionalism, leadership, budget, labor compliance. The Asset Manager is responsible to communicate timely, effectively, and thoroughly normally and especially in any conflicts with the budget, contract documents, employee relations. The Asset Manager provides on-site coordination of Fincon's equipment and materials in strict accordance with the client's and Fincon's critical path schedule, Fincon's budget, Fincon's quality standards, and in strict compliance with project contract documents, Fincon Company Policies, local ordinances and courtesies, jobsite rules, labor laws and safety regulations. The Asset Manager is responsible for leading, monitoring, developing, training, supporting, and motivating their team to the requirements set forth above. Create a positive, engaging, motivated work environment for the wellbeing of the Team, and achieve maximum production with primary of quality and safety. The Asset Manager fiercely supports Fincon's craftsman priority of safety and quality. The Asset Manager understands the severe impact of safety on the jobsite , within Fincon's Team and resources. The Asset Manager is a competent person who is obligated to observe and correct all safety hazards consistently and constantly. The Asset Manager requires and instructs the Team throughout the daily operations of best practices and safety protocols. The Asset Manager will report any non-controllable safety hazards to the Client and Fincon Project Manager and/or COO for immediate remediation. The Asset Manager, as a Competent Person, will stop work when unsafe conditions or behaviors are observed. The Asset Manager will work the best interest of the Team and Fincon to take every precaution to prevent workplace injury and illness. The Asset Manager will report any knowledge of unsafe behaviors or conditions of the Team that may conflict with a safe workplace. The Asset Manager is responsible for loss prevention, damage, misuse, theft of Fincon's resources, specifically equipment, vehicles, tools, materials, and will work in the best interest of Fincon to prevent financial harm to Fincon. The Asset Manager will report any knowledge of detrimental behavior or conditions of the Team that may conflict with resource use best practices.
  • Safety Leader, Safety Inspector
  • Transport materials and tools using an F650 Dump Bed and F250 with lumber racks, Caterpillar 259 Skid Steer.
  • Excellent command of communication with management, clients, vendors, public, government authority and co-workers in person and using emails, texts, cloud based software always demonstrating professional demeanor as a management representative of Fincon.
  • Strong aptitude for using and/or training on Google Docs, Microsoft Office, BUILD by Autodesk, Safety Software, Other Apps as needed.
  • Conduct and oversee the Operation, handling, maintaining, storing, organizing, tracking Fincon assets such as equipment, materials, tools, supplies to optimize installation production while protecting the value of the resource and its full life span for residual use.
  • Attend Safety Classes.
  • Create protocols.
  • Document inspections written paper and digitally on tablet.
  • Attend daily pre task, logistic, preconstruction meetings to review and thoroughly understand, support the industry's standard of care, project's plans, specifications, contract documents, Fincon detailing, budget, and critical path schedule
  • Review, thoroughly understand existing site conditions. Report any safety, quality, efficiency instructions and directive that conflict with site conditions to Project Manager for further discussion and issuance of requests for information
  • Continually ensure and problem solve to create an optimal safe, clean, professional, productive work environment
  • Maintain strong working relationship with Client
  • Maintain positive relationship with Team, Vendors, and the Public
  • Work with Project Manager and/or COO to develop and resolve deficiencies in the budget, critical path schedule, and formwork engineering, team training/development in regard to asset management
  • Production Contribution and Safety Committee Member
  • Attend and engage in continuing education courses for safety, technology, leadership, technical trainings
  • Responsible as a Competent Person and Safety Committee Member to develop and promote Fincon's safety policies, culture, and Team engagement
  • Develop plan and organize resources with Project Manager and/or COO to meet the requirements of the budget and critical path
  • Continually review Pre-Task/Job Hazard Analysis
  • Coordinate, monitor, and direct any hired vendor or subcontractor for correct work, safety, and cost in collaboration with the Project Manager and/or COO
  • Review written and digital Daily Reports with Photo Documentation, Extra Work Orders, Schedules, Pre/Task JHA's, Incident Reports, Accident Reports
  • Review weekly job budget and schedule and communicate with Project Manager and/or COO
  • Stop work to correct unsafe conditions or behaviors
  • Review Foremen Employee Process Observations and resolution plans
  • Record, report, and respond to actual production rate versus estimated production rate mid and end of day with COO
  • Observe, report, and discuss any unsafe behavior and conditions
  • Supervise assistant
  • Professional appearance: No torn clothing, standard construction jobsite attire.
  • Wear safety required safety gear: Hard Hat, Glasses, Hi Vis Shirt/Vest, Gloves.

  • Mobile Device Technology using multiple applications on both Apple and android platforms This is a full-time position that operates at the construction job site.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to rough, uneven terrain, hillsides; moving on and off-heavy equipment; high, precarious installation locations; fumes, airborne particles; outside weather conditions including high heat and wet conditions creating risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud. The Asset Manager is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Lift and carry without assistance up to 80 pounds
  • Lift and carry awkward objects such as 20' lumber, 8' x 4' plywood, 20' rebar
  • Climb permanent and temporary stairs and ladders
  • Step over 6" to 3' structures
  • Step over open trenches while carrying objects
  • Repetitive motion to tie rebar while bent over for long periods of time
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus as required
  • Strong mental acuity for hazard awareness and response

Travel to assigned jobsite(s) is required for this position. Most jobsites are located on the Peninsula and South Bay in the SF Bay Area, with a few projects located elsewhere in the Bay Area.
