Scheduled Weekly Hours:

Assist Foreman in training new staff, scheduling work assignments and ordering material. Coordinates and performs all construction activities and projects in the absence of the Foreman. Assures that staff is using proper construction techniques, following Department and Hospital policies and procedures and performing work that complies with Life Safety Code.Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. At least one year working in St. Tammany Parish Hospital's Construction Department is required. Previous evaluation must represent performance that meets standard. Must possess computer skills and be able to operate Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Must be competent in at least five of the seven areas listed on the Construction Competency Sheet or have at least one of the following: (Journeyman Electricians License or greater) (Journeyman Plumbers License or greater) (N.A.T.E.- HVAC installation Technician Certification).
Physical Demands:
Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 100 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.Physical Effort required:
