Job Description
RQ Construction, LLC is currently seeking an experienced Construction Project Electrical Superintendent to support ongoing operations at U.S. Naval Base Guantanamo Bay, Cuba . This full-time opportunity is ideal for electrical construction professionals looking to contribute to a military healthcare project while working in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment. This role offers the opportunity to support infrastructure projects that directly benefit U.S. military personnel while continuing to grow professionally in an international project setting. The position provides a competitive annual salary ranging from $125,000 to $150,000 based on qualifications and experience. In addition to compensation, employees receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes company-provided housing for employees and eligible dependents, a company vehicle, paid utilities, and quarterly travel for return trips to the employee's home location. Position Summary The Electrical Superintendent is responsible for directing and managing day-to-day field operations for electrical construction activities on active projects. Working closely with the Electrical Project Manager, this position provides leadership to assistant superintendents, foremen, electricians, and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to schedule. Responsibilities include coordinating field operations, monitoring project progress, enforcing safety standards, maintaining quality control, supporting project scheduling, and ensuring accountability among field personnel. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills are essential to successfully delivering complex construction projects. Minimum Qualifications At least five years of experience serving as an Electrical Superintendent supervising crews on commercial, industrial, or government construction projects valued at $400,000 or greater Practical field experience in electrical installation and construction required; military or large commercial project experience preferred Minimum of two years of experience overseeing medical facilities or large-scale construction projects as an Electrical Superintendent Experience managing scheduling, procurement, safety compliance, quality assurance, and field coordination required Familiarity with Design-Build construction methods preferred Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction operations, and jobsite safety practices CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30 certifications required; training may be available if needed High school diploma or GED required; additional education or technical training in electrical trades or construction management preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook required Experience using construction software such as McCormick, Primavera, BIM, or Revit preferred At RQ Construction, employees have the opportunity to expand their technical expertise, strengthen leadership skills, and contribute to impactful projects while building a rewarding career within a growing organization.
