Position Overview Our client is a well-established heavy civil construction contractor seeking a skilled Estimator to support construction estimating and engineering operations. This role works closely with senior estimators and engineering teams to develop competitive bids across complex infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in heavy civil construction, with the ability to manage multiple bids in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Identify and track bid opportunities in coordination with internal teams Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and bid documents Perform quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, and equipment Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals Solicit and evaluate pricing from subcontractors and suppliers Assist in developing bid strategies and assessing project risks Support the creation of project budgets following contract awards Facilitate the transition of awarded projects from estimating to operations Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field Minimum 5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction estimating or engineering Experience with marine, bridge, piling, or drilling projects is strongly preferred Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of construction estimating practices, including cost analysis and bid preparation Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for estimating and data analysis Experience with Bluebeam for digital takeoffs and document review Working knowledge of CAD software for interpreting construction drawings Familiarity with B2W or similar construction estimating/project management tools Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical, organizational, and detail-oriented mindset Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented approach with strong collaboration skills

Base Salary:
