Construction General Laborer

IMMEDIATELY HIRING SPOTTERS / SAFETY SUPPORT TECHNICIANS IN WILSON, NC

$20 PER

HOUR + OT 4 MONTH CONTRACT MONDAY - FRIDAY 6AM - 6PM + SOME SATURDAYS

This role provides safety support on a biopharma construction project by serving as a spotter for pipefitters performing overhead work. You help maintain a safe work area, monitor activities, and communicate potential hazards, contributing directly to the health and safety of everyone on site during a four-month assignment in Wilson, NC. Responsibilities Monitor pipefitters performing overhead work and act as a dedicated spotter to help prevent accidents and injuries. Continuously observe the work area for potential hazards and unsafe conditions and promptly communicate concerns to the crew. Support and reinforce site safety protocols and OSHA regulations during daily operations. Maintain clear, consistent communication with pipefitters and other crew members to coordinate safe movements and activities. Help ensure that work zones remain clear of unnecessary personnel and obstructions while overhead work is underway. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times and encourage others to follow PPE requirements. Participate in safety talks, briefings, and any required on-site training related to health and safety. Follow all site rules, procedures, and instructions from supervision to support a safe and efficient work environment. Work scheduled shifts of five 10-hour days (Monday through Friday) and additional Saturday shifts as needed to meet project demands. Essential Skills Recent OSHA-10 certification issued within the past 5 years. Construction site experience, with familiarity in working around active trades and equipment. Strong understanding of basic safety and health principles in a construction environment. Ability to remain attentive and focused for extended periods while monitoring overhead work. Effective verbal communication skills to clearly relay safety information to the crew. Consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with site requirements. Ability to work five 10-hour shifts per week (Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM) with flexibility for some Saturdays as needed. Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate closely with pipefitters and other site personnel. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Wilson, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
