Construction Labor

Job Summary We are seeking a self-motivated and skilled Construction Worker to join our team. Experience in working on construction sites and projects is preferred. A construction laborer, also known as a construction worker, performs physical labor on construction sites. They may prepare sites by cleaning them, loading or unloading materials, and removing hazards. A general laborer may also operate some types of equipment/tools, assemble and disassemble scaffolding and other temporary structures, and be asked to make lumber cuts as needed. Compensation will be based on experience and skills. Responsibilities Perform all duties as assigned by the Construction Manager, Supervisor, or Foreman. Carry materials and supplies from trucks to the job site so they are ready for installation or other tasks. Measure and cut lumber to desired specifications. Assist other carpenters and subcontractors as needed. Prep construction sites by clearing obstacles and hazards. Load or unload construction materials. Perform site clean-up.

Skills and Qualifications:

Experience as a construction worker (preferred) Excellent balance and hand-eye coordination Basic math skills to perform calculations while measuring on job sites. Mechanical skills to use any necessary building equipment and tools. Ability to perform heavy labor, such as moving materials. Physical stamina to handle the long hours of performing strenuous work during the day in hot or cold weather. Strong teamwork and communication skills Must pay attention to detail and have great customer service skills. Effective time management skills.

License/Certification:

Unrestricted Vermont Driver's License (Required)

Training/Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent
