Job Description

Position Summary:
The Construction Laborer ensures high standards in producing food-grade and commercial ethanol products. This hands-on role involves cross-training in various tasks, with potential for promotion to Construction Lead.
Work hours:
10-hour shifts, Monday through
Friday Compensation:
$25-31 per hours (based on experience)
Responsibilities:
Support maintenance and millwright teams by setting up work areas and maintaining tools. Perform preventive maintenance and operate equipment safely. Load, unload, and distribute materials and tools as per project plans. Measure, mark, and prepare construction sites. Join, align, and seal structural components; erect and dismantle temporary structures. Build and dismantle concrete forms. Perform carpentry, plastering, and masonry tasks. Control traffic around work zones. Operate tools, testing equipment, and industrial vehicles safely. Support plant operations and follow safety procedures. Ensure food safety compliance and proper documentation.
Key Competencies:
Operate heavy-duty cleaning equipment and use platforms, cages, harnesses, and respiratory masks. Heavy equipment operator license(s) desired but not required. Work autonomously with critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
Requirements:
High School Graduate, GED, or equivalent experience. Technical school certificate or degree in Construction desired. 3-5 years of construction experience. General computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Fluent in English for effective communication. Provide own basic hand tools. Experience in roofing, waterproofing, and building restoration.
