This position is ideal for individuals who are either just starting their careers or looking to advance in the construction industry.
Job Description:
We are looking for a reliable and experienced General Construction Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and experience working on construction sites. Preferably, you will be experienced in siding, roofing, and concrete work as you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support the construction process, from site preparation to final finishes. Experience in roofing, siding, framing (not concrete) work is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the setup and cleanup of construction sites Carry out basic construction tasks, including digging, lifting, loading/unloading materials, and general labor work Operate various construction tools and equipment, as required Must be able to use various hand/power tools and have a working knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, siding and roofing Ability to read a tape measure accurately Ability to comprehend, construct, and interpret diagrams, and shop drawings for the task being done Assist skilled tradespeople (e.g., carpenters, masons, electricians) as needed The Construction Technician is responsible for making final construction grade install or repairs of roofing, siding, windows, doors, gutters, columns, fascia, and/or soffits that meet quality standards Drive or travel to and from job sites Install or repair roofing, siding, windows, doors, gutters, columns, fascia, and/or soffits as directed by management; ensure reasonable pace is maintained so jobs are completed in a timely manner Install or repair each job using company-approved and quality-driven methods Follow safety guidelines and regulations on-site to maintain a safe working environment Measure, cut, and install materials as directed Communicate effectively with the crew and supervisors Willingness to learn and grow Reliable transportation Strong work ethic Cross training provided
Qualifications:
Previous experience in general construction or related field is preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans (a plus) Knowledge of construction tools and equipment Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials Comfortable working in various weather conditions Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions Valid driver's license (if required for the role)
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks (lifting, bending, squatting, etc.) Ability to work in outdoor environments and on uneven surfaces Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time Why Join Us?
