Construction Project Manager -
Government Team Salary Range:
$90,000-$105,000 + Performance Bonus Saybr Contractors, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to support our growing portfolio of multi-year government contracts , including Job Order Contracts (JOC) . This role is ideal for a Project Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their work, and can successfully manage multiple public works projects from estimate through closeout. Our Government Team delivers both vertical construction (tenant improvements, renovations, additions, roofing, etc.) and horizontal construction (asphalt and concrete paving, utilities, roadways, parking lots, and related infrastructure). The successful candidate will demonstrate strong judgment, accountability, and the ability to build trust with clients, co-workers, and trade partners. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate and competitive project estimates using both traditional subcontractor bidding and pre-priced construction cost databases (e.g., RSMeans or similar). Manage all phases of construction projects, including permitting, procurement, execution, cost control, scheduling, and closeout. Develop and maintain realistic, detailed project schedules using tools such as MS Project. Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors across multiple active projects. Proactively manage project budgets, change orders, and cost forecasting to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, inspectors, subcontractors, and internal team members. Identify issues early and apply practical, solutions-oriented problem-solving to keep work moving. Maintain organized project documentation in compliance with public contracting requirements. Demonstrate leadership through clear communication, accountability, and collaboration with field and office teams. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible construction experience, including experience as both an estimator and project manager. Two years of experience using a R.S. Means or similar pre-priced construction cost database. Demonstrated experience managing public-sector construction projects. Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects at varying stages of completion. Strong understanding of project cost control, scheduling, and contract administration. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients, inspectors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders. Demonstrated ownership and accountability for project outcomes. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Commitment to quality workmanship and customer service. Other Requirements Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening. Valid Washington State Driver's License with a clean driving record. Why Join Saybr?
