Job Description

Construction Project Manager Axel Works is expanding and looking for a Construction Project Manager to join our team!
Job Summary:
The Project Manager is accountable for overseeing the successful direction and completion of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Effectively communicate with homeowners, team members, subcontractors and vendors to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge of fire, water, and storm restoration protocols.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, drawings and specifications.
  • Management and coordination of scheduling, contracts, change orders, subcontractor relationships, material purchases, and project closeout.
  • Allocate resources for assigned projects.
  • Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable work order costs.
  • Interact with project inspectors, contractors, engineers, city and county officials and clients.
  • Lead the change order process, from pricing and negotiation to billing and accounting updates.
  • Conduct site inspections, troubleshooting issues and ensuring code and safety compliance from start to finish.
  • Inspect completed work for quality and final presentation, preparing punch lists as needed.
  • Update team and homeowner(s) of schedules, timelines and tentative completion date. If there's delays due to materials or scheduling, keep homeowner(s) updated.
  • Prepare and submit bi-weekly subcontractor payments.
  • Supervise on-site personnel and subcontractors.
Job Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3+ years managing restoration or disaster recovery projects.
  • Proficient in MS Office and scheduling software (Knowledge of DASH a plus but not required)
  • Creative problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to read Xactimate and Core Logic scopes work. Writing estimates is a plus but not required.
  • Manage the closeout process, including punch lists, warranties, final paperwork and payment.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal communication.
  • Must successfully pass background checks and drug/alcohol screening.

$63,925.13 - $76,985.10 per year
