Job Title:
Planning Coordinator Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Planning Coordinator to support our team in data entry and backlog management. This role involves maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) and creating work orders. The position is crucial due to the departure of a planner to a new department and the upcoming retirement of our master scheduler. Responsibilities Enter and manage data accurately to support planning operations. Maintain and update Bills of Materials (BOMs). Create and process work orders efficiently. Assist in managing backlog and coordinating with schedulers. Support the training of new team members as needed. Essential Skills High attention to detail and accuracy. Understanding of work orders, BOMs, routings, operations, lead times, and due dates. Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards, or NetSuite. Basic Excel skills, including filtering, sorting, and basic formulas. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Team-oriented and open to direction from Production Control leadership. Reliability and consistency in work habits. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in production scheduling, capacity planning, and material availability checks. Familiarity with supporting planners or schedulers. Knowledge of purchasing, scheduling, and understanding of process changes. Experience in data entry and a desire to learn more. High School diploma required. Basic understanding of manufacturing processes. Work Environment The work environment is supportive and team-oriented, with flexible hours from 7 AM to 5 PM, allowing for any 8-hour shift. Initial training will be hands-on, from 8 AM to 4 PM, for the first two weeks. The team is small and easy-going, not too rigid, and is open to communication across all levels. The role may involve high-stress periods typical of a manufacturing environment. Employees are expected to dress in jeans and an appropriate shirt with steel-toed boots, which will be reimbursed. This entry-level position offers potential growth into a production planner role in the future. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Blair, NE. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
