Job Summary To Apply for this Job Click Here Manufacturing doesn't improve itself. A growing industrial manufacturer is hiring a Continuous Improvement Engineer to help increase efficiency, improve production flow, and eliminate operational bottlenecks within a busy manufacturing environment. This role is heavily tied to plant operations and is best suited for someone who enjoys identifying problems, building practical solutions, and working directly with production teams to improve overall performance. The right person for this role understands that continuous improvement is more than meetings and charts. It's reducing downtime, improving consistency, tightening processes, and helping manufacturing teams operate more effectively every day. This role is on-site, full-time in Bluffton, IN.

Continuous Improvement Engineer Requirements & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering required Minimum of 3 years of experience within manufacturing or industrial engineering environments Experience working within fabrication, metal processing, automotive, or industrial production operations Understanding of process improvement methodologies including Lean Manufacturing and 5S Ability to evaluate production methods and recommend process enhancements Experience supporting manufacturing documentation, production standards, and operational procedures Comfortable collaborating across production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams Ability to support new process implementation and operational change initiatives Strong analytical thinking and root-cause problem-solving skills Comfortable working in active production environments rather than office-only settings Strong communication and organizational skills
Must Haves:
Experience improving production efficiency within a manufacturing environment Ability to identify waste, bottlenecks, and workflow issues Strong hands-on troubleshooting mentality Experience supporting manufacturing process changes from start to finish Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities Strong collaboration skills with hourly production teams and leadership
Continuous Improvement Engineer Preferred Background & Skills:
Experience within stamping, welding, or fabrication operations Background in high-volume manufacturing environments Exposure to Six Sigma or continuous improvement initiatives Experience supporting APQP or manufacturing launch activities Familiarity with production reporting, process tracking, or KPI analysis Engineers with strong plant-floor communication and operational awareness
