Job Description

  • Job Description:
  • Implements SelectHealth policies for the negotiation, execution, and maintenance of SelectHealth vendor contracts. Works with all levels of staff and management to administer the contract review process to ensure proper review, documentation, and signature. Implements centralized contract filing/maintenance and storage.

  • Essential Functions
  • + Implements the contract approval process, including preparing documents for signature.
+ Understands and implements SelectHealth standards for non-complex contracts. Drafts, reviews, and negotiates simple non-standard contracts. + Develops, updates, and maintains a process for the timely electronic filing and storage of all contracts. + Assists in providing training in the creation, development, negotiation, approval, execution, and maintenance of contracts and standards to SelectHealth caregivers.

  • Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualifications + Bachelor's degree, from an accredited institution which will be verified, in an applicable major.
+ Demonstrated experience in working with and analyzing contracts. + Intermediate experience with word processing and spreadsheet programs. + Excellent writing, editing, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications + Master's degree obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified. + Legal or paralegal experience. + Four years of experience in working with and analyzing contracts + Experience working for an insurer, health care provider, pharmacy benefit manager, or pharmaceutical company. + Excellent analytical, negotiation, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Physical Requirements
  • + Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
+ Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately. + Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.
