Optician - Locum Tenens | Federal Healthcare | Clarksburg, WV $25-$40/hour | Full-Time | 2 Positions Available We are seeking two licensed Opticians for full-time locum tenens positions providing onsite optician services within a federal healthcare facility in Clarksburg, West Virginia. This is a stable, long-term opportunity with an initial contract period of one year and the option to extend for up to three additional years.

Extension:

Option to extend up to 3 additional years What You'll Be Doing You will provide comprehensive optician services to an established patient population within a federal medical center eye clinic. Day to day responsibilities include eyeglass fitting, frame adjustments and repairs, lens measurements, and supporting the full scope of optician services during active patient care hours. Extended coverage beyond standard hours may be arranged as needed in coordination with clinic leadership. Requirements Active, unrestricted Optician state license (required) American Board of Opticians (ABO) certification (required) Ability to pass federal facility credentialing requirements Compliance with federal privacy and information security training including VA Privacy and HIPAA training upon onboarding Occupational Health Requirements The following must be completed prior to start: MMR vaccine or titer Hepatitis B vaccine or titer Varicella vaccine or titer TB skin test, bloodwork, or chest X-ray Influenza vaccination Why This Role This is a rare long-term optician opportunity in the federal healthcare space with built-in stability — a one-year initial contract with the potential to extend for three more years.
