Controller

We are looking for a detail-oriented Controller to support accounting operations for a Contract position based in Hackensack, New Jersey. This role will oversee core financial activities, maintain organized documentation, and help ensure accurate reporting across day-to-day transactions. The ideal candidate brings strong accounting knowledge, a structured approach to record management, and hands-on experience with NetSuite in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting activities, including journal entries, account analysis, and support for accurate financial reporting.
• Perform bank account reconciliations and investigate variances to maintain reliable financial records.
• Organize, scan, and maintain financial and operational documents to ensure records are complete, accessible, and audit-ready.
• Compile supporting documentation for accounting processes, month-end activities, and internal review needs.
• Document financial workflows and accounting procedures to promote consistency and compliance across operations.
• Use NetSuite to record transactions, review account activity, and support ongoing financial controls.
• Assist with maintaining document control standards so files are properly categorized, retained, and retrievable when needed.
