OVERVIEW ATLAS
CPAs & Advisors seeks an experienced Controller to join our Colorado team! This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of the organization including accounting, reporting, forecasting and financial planning. The role provides leadership with timely, accurate financial insights and ensures strong internal controls, compliance, and operations efficiency across all finance and accounting functions.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee all accounting and finance operations, including general ledger and financial close Prepare and deliver accurate financial reports and analysis Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities. Analyze results and provide insights to support business decisions Maintain and improve financial systems, processes, and internal controls Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulations Support leadership with financial modeling and scenario analysis Manage job costing and financial tracking processes Partner with internal stakeholders to support operational needs
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required
EXPERIENCE 3-5
years of progressive accounting or finance experience Experience in a leadership or management role withing finance or accounting Experience supporting financial close and reporting processes Experience participating in budgeting and forecasting cycles Experience improving or supporting financial systems and processes
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis concepts Knowledge of internal controls and compliance requirements Familiarity with job costing and financial analysis Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel

Leadership and accountability in a team environment Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability Clear and effective written and verbal communication Ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights Strong organization and time management skills Sound judgment and decision-making capability Ability to identify and drive process improvement
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
$80,000 - 100,000 per year. Compensation is based on several factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience and education, geographic location, and current market trends. WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be able to operate a variety of machines and equipment, including computer, office equipment, telephone, etc. Tasks may require extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation.
