Controls Engineer

Controls Engineer designs, programs, and troubleshoots commercial machine control systems using Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLC platforms, HMI software, and electrical design tools. Job Requirements Experience programming, modifying, and troubleshooting PLC systems using Allen-Bradley or Siemens platforms Minimum 3 years of experience with Rockwell RSLogix 500 and RSLogix 5000 Minimum 3 years of experience with FactoryTalk View or similar HMI software Experience controlling VFDs through HMI and PLC systems Knowledge of CAD software Working knowledge of commercial machinery control devices, including proximity switches, solenoid valves, transducers, switches, push buttons, and indicator lamps Sound understanding of AC and DC motor control systems Experience with VFD-based motor control systems Experience designing machine controls from initial calculations through layouts and schematics Experience with hardware design and PLC/HMI programming for commercial machines Preferred Skills AutoCAD Electrical experience Strong Allen-Bradley experience Strong Siemens experience Experience with full machine design from concept through commissioning Experience creating electrical calculations, control layouts, and schematics Experience with scratch programming for machine controls Job Responsibilities Design machine control systems for commercial equipment Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLC logic using Allen-Bradley or Siemens platforms Develop and troubleshoot HMI applications using FactoryTalk or similar software Design electrical hardware layouts and schematics Perform control system calculations and support full hardware design Integrate and control VFDs through PLC and HMI systems Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and ongoing improvement of machine control systems Apply control devices such as proximity switches, solenoid valves, transducers, switches, buttons, and lamps in machine designs

Pay:
