Overview:

We are seeking a hands-on Controls Engineer to design, program, and implement industrial automation systems from concept through commissioning. This role requires strong expertise in Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs, with the ability to own full-cycle hardware design and programming for commercial machinery in an onsite environment. Qualifications Minimum 3+ years of experience with Rockwell RSLogix 500 and RSLogix 5000 platforms Strong experience with Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLC systems Proficiency with HMI software such as FactoryTalk View or equivalent Experience controlling VFDs via PLCs and HMIs Working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical or general CAD tools Solid understanding of AC/DC motor control systems, particularly VFD-driven systems Experience with commercial/industrial machinery and control devices Ability to handle full lifecycle controls engineering: design, programming, and implementation Must be able to work onsite in NJ (no remote work available) Responsibilities Design and develop control systems from "scratch," including calculations, layouts, and electrical schematics Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs using Allen-Bradley (RSLogix 500/5000) and/or Siemens platforms Develop and maintain HMI applications (e.g., FactoryTalk View or similar) Integrate and control VFDs through PLCs and HMIs Create and interpret electrical drawings using AutoCAD Electrical or similar CAD tools Work with commercial machine control components such as proximity switches, solenoid valves, transducers, push buttons, and indicator lights Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of automation systems on the production floor Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and operations teams to deliver complete automation solutions #GRPA Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits and 401K plan. Pay:

$55.00 - $70.00 per hour
