Job Description

At Spring Valley Living, we are dedicated to creating a nurturing community for our residents, and tenants. Our team of around 100 nursing staff and professionals is committed to delivering exceptional housing and care services, ensuring that every individual is treated with dignity and respect. Summary We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Cook to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals that meet our residents' dietary needs and preferences. Your contributions will be vital in fostering a warm and respectful environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook delicious and nutritious meals in a timely manner
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications
  • Assist in all areas of food production as needed, including preparation, cooking, and plating
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Collaborate with the dietary department to meet residents' dietary needs
  • Assist with catering events when necessary
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or similar environment
  • Knowledge of food service practices and techniques
  • Experience working in a dietary department is a plus
  • Ability to handle and prepare food safely
  • Strong understanding of kitchen procedures and best practices
  • Culinary certification or degree is preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
