Execute food preparation tasks efficiently, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and assembling ingredients for service. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to health regulations and safety standards at all times. Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining presentation standards. Serve food to customers in a friendly, professional manner, ensuring a positive dining experience. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy hours. Manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management of shortages or issues promptly. Follow all food handling procedures diligently to uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety. Requirements Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within cafes, restaurants, or the food industry. Must have at least 1-2 years of experience Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques. Experience working in fine dining or high-volume food service environments is preferred. Knowledge of dietary department practices or dietary aide experience is a plus. Familiarity with menu planning, catering, and serving procedures enhances your suitability for this role. Understanding of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures is essential. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays as needed.
