Cook I Job Description Overview Location:
Ball Memorial Hospital Hours:
Weekdays are 7a-330p Every other weekend and holiday are 11:30am-8pm Job Summary Performs supervised tasks related to the preparation of food. Meal preparations include regular and therapeutic diets. Utilizes foundational skills of basic cooking techniques, operates kitchen equipment and maintains a clean and organized work space.

Cleanliness and sanitation Food Safety Follow recipes Food quality •Customer service is a must•
Requirements:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience is preferred. No experience is required. Prior food service experience is preferred. Requires the ability to operate kitchen equipment. Must be able to wear protective equipment/clothing required by the environment or government regulations such as gowns, gloves, goggles, rubber-soled closed-toe footwear, etc. Requires adherence to local health regulations and safety requirements to produce safe food for consumption. Requires the ability to climb ladders.
Physical requirements to include:
reaching, standing for long periods of time, squatting, bending, carrying and/or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 35 lbs. or more, up to 80% of the time. We are an equal opportunity employer.
