Job Description
About the Role We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Cookie Maker & Decorator to join our commissary team. This role is perfect for someone who combines a passion for baking with a creative eye for design. You will be responsible for producing and decorating high-quality cookies for retail sale, custom orders, and special occasions — bringing artistry and consistency to every batch. Responsibilities Mix, roll, cut, and bake cookies from scratch following established recipes Decorate cookies using royal icing, fondant, piping bags, stencils, edible colors, and other techniques Fulfill custom and special event cookie orders to exact customer specifications Maintain consistent quality, appearance, and taste across all production batches Assist in developing new seasonal and specialty cookie designs Package finished products attractively and safely for retail and delivery Manage ingredient prep, inventory rotation, and supply needs Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with food safety standards Communicate production progress and flag any supply or quality issues promptly Requirements 1+ years of professional cookie making or decorating experience in a bakery, commissary, or production environment Demonstrated decorating skills — portfolio or photos of past work strongly preferred Proficiency with decorating tools including piping bags, tips, stencils, airbrushing, and food coloring Creativity and artistic ability to produce visually appealing, on-trend designs Strong attention to detail — consistency in appearance and quality across every batch Solid time management skills — ability to handle multiple orders and meet production deadlines Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards Strong communication skills — able to take direction clearly and collaborate with kitchen and management staff Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs Schedule Full-time, daytime hours 5 days per week Early morning start times may apply based on production needs Compensation & Pay Entry-level (1-2 years experience): $16.00-$22.00/hour Benefits Paid time off Performance-based raises tied to 90-day and annual reviews How to Apply Send your resume and photos of your decorating work to: info@iversensbi.com
