We are seeking a highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented leader to serve as the Coordinator of Assessment & Accountability. This individual will support the district's assessment, accountability, and data systems through the coordination of districtwide assessment administration, compliance processes, logistical planning, and data analysis. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success managing complex operational systems, maintaining high levels of accuracy and compliance, and supporting educators and leaders through effective communication, planning, and data reporting. This role requires an individual who can execute large-scale assessment processes with precision while also supporting campuses in understanding and utilizing assessment and accountability data to improve student outcomes. You must possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. This position works closely with campus testing coordinators, district departments, and school leaders to ensure the successful implementation of all assessment and accountability functions.WHY LA JOYA ISD

Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree required; preferred in Education, Educational Leadership, Data Analytics, Assessment, or related field Master's degree preferred Valid Texas Teaching certificate preferredExperience:
Minimum of three years experience in education, assessment coordination, accountability systems, or related field preferred Campus testing coordinator or district assessment experience preferred Special Knowledge and Skills Strong knowledge of Texas assessment and accountability systems Knowledge of state assessment administration procedures and test security requirements Strong organizational, logistical planning, and project management skills Ability to analyze and interpret assessment and accountability data Strong attention to detail and accuracy Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) Ability to manage timelines and multiple competing priorities Strong technology and data management skills Ability to collaborate effectively with campus and district staff Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferredMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Executive Leadership:
Serve as a transformational team member working to create a best-in-class assessment and accountability system. Participate in professional development and training to improve skills related to job assignment. Foster collegiality and collaboration among district and campus staff. Demonstrate professional, ethical, and responsible behavior. Remain current on state and federal policies, assessment procedures, accountability systems, and compliance requirements.Assessment Coordination & Administration:
Support the design, implementation, and management of the district's assessment systems. Coordinate the implementation and administration of districtwide state and local assessments. Support the development and management of district assessment calendars, timelines, and testing procedures. Assist campuses with assessment logistics, materials management, scheduling, and compliance processes. Coordinate training and support for campus testing coordinators and other assessment personnel. Support implementation of all assessment security procedures and ensure compliance with TEA requirements. Assist in monitoring campuses during testing windows to ensure fidelity of implementation. Coordinate collection, verification, and submission of required assessment documentation. Support the resolution of testing irregularities and documentation processes as needed. Assist with setup, maintenance, and management of assessment platforms and systems. Support district benchmark and interim assessment processes as assigned.Accountability & Data Analysis:
Assist in compiling, organizing, and analyzing district, campus, and student assessment data. Support the development of accountability reports, data dashboards, and performance summaries. Assist campuses and district departments in interpreting assessment and accountability data. Support accountability forecasting and projection processes. Monitor data accuracy and assist with verification of assessment and accountability information. Compile reports required for district, state, and federal accountability systems. Support district improvement planning through data analysis and reporting. Assist in identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement in student performance outcomes.Professional Learning & Support:
Provide training and technical assistance related to assessment systems, accountability processes, and data reporting. Support campus staff in understanding testing procedures, timelines, and accountability expectations. Assist in developing assessment manuals, communication materials, guidance documents, and presentations. Collaborate with district departments to align assessment and accountability processes with instructional priorities.School and Community Relations:
Articulate the mission and goals of the department to internal and external stakeholders. Build strong relationships with school leaders, families, and community partners. Communicate key findings and initiatives clearly and consistently.Management of Fiscal, Administrative, and Facilities Functions:
Maintain accurate, complete, and timely records related to assessment and accountability systems. Compile, maintain, and file reports, records, and other required documentation. Ensure compliance with district policies, state laws, and federal regulations related to assessment and accountability. Support inventory management and distribution processes for assessment materials and related resources. Assist with coordination of district testing environments and operational readiness. Other duties as assigned.WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demands:
Typical demands of an office environment, including extensive computer use and district-wide travel. Lifting and carrying of light equipment (15-20 pounds), and the ability to move throughout campuses.Work Environment:
Office-based with frequent campus visits and participation in community events. Attendance at evening or weekend meetings may be required. The role may involve occasional prolonged and irregular hours.Mental Demands:
