Coordinator of New EOF Student Experience Passaic County Community College - 3.8 Paterson, NJ Job Details Full-time $55,000 a year 5 hours ago Benefits Free parking Commuter assistance Paid holidays Disability insurance Health insurance Dental insurance Flexible spending account Tuition reimbursement Employee assistance program Qualifications Master's degree Full Job Description An administrative position that reports to the Assistant Dean of the Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) Program or designee. The coordinator researches, implements, documents, and assesses evidence-based recruitment and retention interventions to ensure that all new EOF students receive high-impact support services at the college.
Example of Duties:
Promotes the college and the EOF Program to prospective students and community partners. Liaises with campus-based opportunity and academic support programs to onboard returning PCCC students into EOF. Develops and coordinates initiatives designed to retain students in their first year of the EOF Program. Teaches EOF Sections of College Success course (COL-102). Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with affinity groups on and off campus to enhance the experience as first-year students in the EOF Program. Utilizes generative AI tools like ChatGPT to improve first-year EOF student programming. Advises individuals and groups of first-year EOF students as needed. Collaborates with EOF staff to ensure that all first-year students are receiving high-quality academic support services. Maintains student records for first-year EOF students, including, but not limited to: recruitment and advising contacts, notes, and workshop attendance. Cultivates community partnerships that can result in the success of new EOF students. Coordinates elements of the EOF Summer Institute as needed. Assists with cultivating donors to support first-year EOF student initiatives. Maintains a virtual space dedicated to first-year EOF students. Performs other related duties as assigned by the Assistant Dean or a designee.
Qualifications :
Master's degree in Higher Education, Organizational Leadership, Student Personnel Services, or related field required. Prior experience providing direct support to disadvantaged students. Ability to communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and in interpersonal interactions. Ability to work with a diverse team of faculty, staff, and students. Ability to coordinate student support services with other college and community personnel. Sensitivity to the needs of the student population of an urban community college. Proficient use of the Microsoft Suite, including but not limited to Word and Excel The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.
Compensation:
Compensation is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications. The starting salary for this position is $55,000.
