Position Summary:
The Coordinator of Outreach and Student Success/Instructor serves as the strategic lead for marketing, recruitment, and retention initiatives within the College of Business and Economic Development. This position is responsible for planning and executing integrated, data-driven initiatives aligned with AACSB accreditation priorities, the strategic plan for the LeMoyne Smith School of Business, and the mission of the Agriculture and Tourism Department. The role provides leadership in brand strategy and stewardship and industry outreach, leveraging marketing analytics to drive enrollment growth and student persistence. While managing distinct brand positioning for the LeMoyne Smith School of Business, the role provides strategic marketing oversight and social media management for the department of Agriculture and Tourism. Additionally, the position teaches 6 credit hours per academic year in Business Administration or Marketing and manages key operational functions to support the student lifecycle.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Brand Stewardship & Multimedia Strategy Serve as the primary guardian of the College of Business and Econ. Dev. brand; develop and execute a multi-year marketing plan aligned with the LeMoyne Smith School of Business' strategic plan; ensuring all digital storytelling, regional publications, and executive recruitment campaigns adhere to institutional identity and marketing goals. Lead the conceptualization, direction, and production of digital assets, social media campaigns, and digital and traditional recruitment materials, positioning the College as a regional thought leader. Translate brand strategy into tangible experiences by managing student influencer programs and designing customized recruitment environments for campus visits and events. Manage and grow stakeholder-specific digital communities to enhance institutional transparency, family advocacy, and alumni engagement. 2. Enrollment Intelligence & Performance Analytics Monitor and analyze multi-year enrollment data to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations for growth; collaborate with Department Heads and Program Coordinators by providing the data intelligence necessary to inform strategic course scheduling and program capacity planning. Design and lead a multi-channel recruitment strategy that guides prospective students from initial awareness through enrollment conversion using advanced audience targeting and high-touch personalized engagement. Oversee the strategic allocation of the marketing and recruitment budget; manage vendor relationships and track promotional spending to ensure maximum ROI and alignment with growth priorities. Manage organic and paid Meta advertising, utilizing advanced audience segmentation, A/B testing, and lead-generation forms to drive conversion for undergraduate and graduate programs. Monitor and report on campaign performance using Meta Business Suite, GA4, and institutional dashboards to optimize conversion rates and marketing spend. Serve as the webmaster for the College of Business and Economic Development and implement Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) strategies across all College program webpages to ensure program visibility in AI-driven search environments. Implement specialized lead-generation efforts for the MBA program, focusing on executive-level messaging and professional recruitment channels. 3. External Pipeline & Student Success Initiatives Identify and cultivate partnerships with community leaders, national firms, and professional organizations to establish early-stage recruitment funnels and lead professional development outreach opportunities that bridge the gap between students and the workforce. Coordinate conferences and leadership academies to bring student leaders to campus for immersive recruitment engagement. Develop and oversee strategic retention initiatives, including the Business Bucks program, to encourage student participation, academic achievement, and institutional belonging. 4. Committee Leadership & Instruction Serve as Chair of the College of Business and Econ. Dev. Recruitment and Retention Committee and a member of the Strategic Planning Committee, aligning all initiatives with AACSB priorities. Bridge academic instruction and marketing strategy by aligning classroom experiences with recruitment messaging and workforce readiness outcomes. Teach 6 credit hours annually in Business Administration or Marketing, integrating industry-relevant content and high-impact learning practices into the curriculum.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Expert-level proficiency in Meta Business Suite (Facebook/Instagram), including audience segmentation and engagement optimization. Experience developing and managing influencer or peer-driven marketing initiatives to enhance authenticity, engagement, and brand reach. Ability to conceptualize, design, and produce compelling multimedia content aligned with brand strategy and engagement goals. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite for professional design and multimedia production. Synthesize historical data to identify enrollment gaps and provide predictive insights regarding future student demand and course scheduling needs. Proficiency in interpreting and applying performance data from Google Analytics and marketing dashboards to improve enrollment outcomes. Knowledge of SEO and emerging practices in GEO/AEO for higher education search visibility. Proficiency with Banner, Ad Astra, Argos, and OneTech for data tracking and student support. Demonstrated capacity for continuous professional development in leadership and marketing. Demonstrated ability to foster a collegial and collaborative environment while working effectively with faculty, staff, students, and external partners. Demonstrated ability to build trust and maintain meaningful relationships with diverse audiences through personalized and responsive communication. Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to evolving institutional needs, and execute high-quality work in fast-paced environments.
Minimum Requirements:
Master of Business Administration plus an undergraduate, graduate, or nationally recognized industry credential in digital marketing. At least one year of professional experience working in a higher-education setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least two years of experience in digital marketing for higher education, enrollment management, or strategic communications. Evidence of strong partnership-building skills within ATU and the community. Commitment to preparing students for success in higher education. Evidence of cooperative management style and good communication skills (oral and written). Commitment to high-impact learning practices. Excellence in teaching and professional activities. Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate programs, events, and initiatives on campus. Demonstrated ability to interact with diverse groups and populations.
Work Location, Environment, and Physical Demands:
Primary work location will be in Rothwell Hall on the ATU Russellville campus; however, this role requires occasional travel, weekend availability, and after-hours availability to hold a professional presence at strategic events. What to
