  • Summary
  • CHS•is hiring a •Senior Supply Chain Coordinator•to play a key role in supporting our Animal Nutrition supply chain operations.
This position is responsible for the accurate and timely execution of customer orders and contracts, including the entry, maintenance, and processing of sales orders across multiple systems. The ideal candidate is highly detail‑oriented, customer‑focused, and thrives in a collaborative environment that values continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Responsibilities
  • Order Entry and Fulfillment Support
  • + Create, enter, and maintain sales orders, shipping documents, and invoices in systems. + Ensure accurate reflection of order terms, including product, quantity, delivery details, and pricing. + Support backorder management and proactively follow up on delayed or impacted orders.
  • Customer and Internal Coordination
  • + Serve as a key contact for customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders regarding order status, shipment issues, and general inquiries. + Coordinate with logistics, plant operations, procurement, and sales teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. + Assist in troubleshooting and resolving discrepancies related to contracts, pricing, or delivery.
  • Documentation and Compliance
  • + Maintain thorough documentation of all order transactions and ensure timely scanning/filing in electronic document management systems. + Assist in audit preparation by ensuring required documentation is available, complete, and properly organized.
  • Performance Monitoring and Process Improvement
  • + Monitor open orders and delivery performance, escalating risks or delays to appropriate team members or leadership. + Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies or recurring issues and proposing process enhancements.
  • Collaboration and Team Support
  • + Partner closely with peers and the team manager to support team goals and operational consistency across plant locations. + Participate in team meetings, cross-training, and knowledge sharing. + Provide coverage and support for colleagues as needed.
  • Minimum Qualifications (required)
  • + 2+ years of experience in order management, customer service, logistics, or a related operational role.
  • Additional Qualifications
  • + Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Mapics, OSM or similar platforms).
+ Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills. + Clear and professional written and verbal communication. + Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. + Experience in agriculture, animal nutrition, or commodities-based businesses. + Familiarity with Lean or continuous improvement methodologies. + Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
