Corporate Event Production Technician

DFX is looking for self-motivated, professional, and dedicated individuals interested in live event lighting, audio and video production. DFX is looking to fill full time positions and to add individuals to our on call list. Full time applicants will spend majority of their time working in our warehouse and in the field on Productions as a supervisor. Compensation is based on skills and experience, ranging from $27.50+/hr plus regular overtime during busy periods. Benefits after 1 year of employment include retirement plan with 1% employer match, health plan enrollment. Responsibilities will include but not limited to: Pull and load job orders from warehouse. Perform simple maintenance and repairs on all equipment. (Major maintenance and repairs are handled by our Service Department.) Clean and test equipment returning from customers and productions. Travel to and from productions. Install and teardown equipment per direction from Project Manager. Deliver and Pickup equipment to and from rental customers in vehicle's ranging from small vans to 26' Box Trucks. (Must have or eligible to obtain NJ DOT Medical Card.) Ensure inventory is kept in order and neat. Have advanced knowledge of theatrical lighting, video and audio consoles. (Hog4, Ion, M32/X32, SQ, Blackmagic, vMix) Operate Lighting, Video and Audio consoles during events. Support our Install Department as needed. Perform other tasks assigned by Supervisor. Applicants must have the following minimal skills and knowledge: Knowledge of DMX Lighting Protocol Knowledge of Production Lighting Theory and Practices Knowledge of Audio Systems and Consoles Knowledge of Audio Theory and Wireless Microphones Knowledge of Theatrical Lighting Equipment Knowledge of Corporate AV Workflow and Positions Strong Time Management Skills Strong Knowledge of Video Teleconference Systems (EX. Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, etc.) Applicants will be required to be able to fulfill the following: Work a normal 40 hour week. Available nights and weekends for production work. Position frequently requires availability outside normal 40 hour work week. Be able to adapt to dynamic situations. Knowledge of Audio, Lighting and Video Equipment and Methods Ability to Work Independently and Efficiently Have a clean driving record. Have reliable transportation to and from our West Berlin, NJ office. Maintain a clean and tidy appearance. Able to drive long distances in commercial vehicles (Vans and Box Trucks up to 26'. No CDL required.) Have or able to obtain within 45 days a NJ DOT Medical Certificate (MCSA-5876) Have or able to obtain within 45 days

Training Certificate Be flexible. Able to lift 50+ pounds. Comfortable with climbing ladders and scaffolding. Comfortable with mobile elevated platform equipment operation. Have basic common sense and a good attitude. Have strong organization skills. Ability to document events accurately. Be able to communicate with end user customers.
