Job Entails:
Responsible For:
Regional Operation Managers, Operation Coordinators, Postal Drivers, including lead drivers, Assistant Operation Managers, Operation Supervisors, Operations Assistants, any other operational employee not listed.
Job Summary:
The Corporate Operations Manager assists the National Operations Manager by coordinating and managing daily operations to help the organization achieve its goals and objectives.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
May have direct reports. Under the direction of the National Operations Manager, support supervision of Regional Operations Managers, Operations Supervisors, Operations Coordinators, Postal Truck Drivers (including lead drivers), Assistant Operations Managers, and other operational staff as assigned.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Serve as the company liaison for assigned postal operations areas. Represent the company in day-to-day operations with USPS personnel, Postmasters, subcontractors, company drivers, vendors, and other parties involved in Hi Pro Inc. postal contracts. Be available to travel on short notice; travel at least 50% annually and, when needed, remain on assignment for up to one month at a time. On a rotating basis with the National Operations Manager, remain reachable 24/7/365 by phone, text, and email. Help organize and oversee staff schedules and daily work. Support planning and coordination of daily postal production and operational activities. Assist with employee discipline and separations as needed, in accordance with company policy. Support hiring and training in accordance with company policies and procedures. Help track productivity by analyzing performance data and activity reports. Coordinate with support teams (Human Resources, Finance, and Safety) to ensure successful postal operations. Motivate employees through positive coaching and incentive initiatives. Ensure local management submits employee hours daily. Help ensure fleet equipment is maintained on a regular schedule and as needed; approve purchase orders promptly. Assist with timely, constructive performance evaluations. Communicate with the board and other senior officials regarding shifting priorities and projects. Identify operational risks and friction points and implement solutions to improve efficiency and revenue. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong leadership, management, and supervisory skills.
Preferred:
deep knowledge of postal operations and production management. Ability to analyze financial data to set production targets and identify improvement opportunities. Highly organized with strong attention to detail; able to shift priorities while managing multiple functions and projects. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with executives and frontline staff to administer policy. Sound judgment and decision-making skills; able to identify practical solutions to operational challenges. Proficiency with Microsoft Office or comparable software.
Preferred:
trucking experience.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Five years of related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Must be able to work in an office environment. Must be able to work in a field environment. Must be able to drive, at a minimum, a box truck. Able to travel as needed up to 50% a year, or more on short notice. Pay:
$70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
