Position Summary The Corporate Relations & Events Specialist plays a critical role in advancing PAWS' ambitious fundraising goals through the seamless execution of a variety of events and the strategic cultivation of corporate partnerships. This position requires a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who takes initiative, manages multiple priorities with precision, and consistently meets deadlines. Success in this role depends on the ability to anticipate needs, execute thoughtfully, and steward relationships in creative and meaningful ways.
Key Accountabilities:
Event Strategy & Execution Corporate Relations & Stewardship Fundraising & Engagement Initiatives Collaboration & Organizational Support Essential Responsibilities Must adhere to and emulate the PAWS' Core Values in all that you do; must conduct yourself as an ambassador of PAWS displaying a proper cultural fit within the organization Lead the planning and execution of three signature fundraising events, ensuring every detail—from concept to follow up—is thoughtful, managed and aligned with revenue goals. Lead sponsorship development by identifying, cultivating, and directly soliciting corporate partners for event and organization support. Build and manage a portfolio of corporate partners with a focus on long-term relationship growth and retention. Identify and manage third party fundraising efforts, ensuring strong participation and a seamless donor experience. Lead community-based tabling opportunities to create visibility and build relationships in the greater community. Serve as a staff liaison to key volunteer committees, supporting engagement and productivity. Other duties as assigned Non-Essential Responsibilities Collaborate with staff members on volunteer engagement opportunities for corporate partners, ensuring a polished and mission-centered experience. Partner closely with the communications team to align messaging, marketing, and outreach strategies. Identify opportunities to elevate events through innovation, creativity, and improved processes. Contribute to broader Advancement team initiatives as needed. Supervision Received Specific Direction - Follows established work procedures. Receives periodic checks for performance. Refers unique questions/conditions to immediate supervisor Supervisory Responsibilities No supervisory responsibilities Requirements Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, event management, communications, or related field (or equivalent experience) Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in fundraising, events, and/or corporate relations Experience working with donor databases (Raiser's Edge preferred) Proven experience engaging volunteers, donors, or corporate partners Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and follow-through Strong organizational and project management abilities Deadline-driven mindset, with proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously Creative and thoughtful stewardship approach, with an eye toward relationship building and donor experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Must be able to work occasional evening and weekend work events Core competencies
