Correctional Officer

The Dakota County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for the position of Correctional Officer. Applicants must be 19 years of age or older, have a high school diploma or GED, possess a valid driver's license, be able to pass a criminal background check, and be able to work legally in the United States. Applicants for Correctional Officer must be able to work twelve-hour shifts, days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Applicants that successfully pass a background check will be invited to a written and physical test. Applications must be obtained from the Sheriff's Office, filled out, and submitted.

Corrections Officer:

New Hire $21.09 per hour / $21.67 after 12 months of service.
