Correctional Officer

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Correction Officer to maintain safety, security, and order within correctional facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, conflict management abilities, and a commitment to enforcing rules and regulations. This role is essential in ensuring the well-being of staff, inmates, and visitors while upholding the highest standards of security and professionalism. Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or security is highly valued. Candidates should be prepared to work in a dynamic environment that requires quick decision-making and effective communication. Responsibilities Monitor inmate activity through CCTV systems and conduct regular patrols of the facility to ensure safety and security. Enforce facility rules and regulations, addressing violations promptly and appropriately. Respond effectively to emergencies by administering first aid or CPR when necessary. Manage conflicts between inmates through conflict management techniques, de-escalating potentially volatile situations. Write detailed reports on incidents, daily activities, and disciplinary actions with accuracy and clarity. Conduct searches for contraband or unauthorized items using established procedures. Maintain order within the facility by supervising inmate movements and activities. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or incident responses. Uphold confidentiality and adhere to all policies related to security procedures. Experience Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, security, or related fields is preferred. Familiarity with CCTV operation, report writing, conflict management, and emergency response protocols such as first aid and CPR is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally. Strong communication skills with the ability to write clear reports and interact effectively with staff and inmates. Experience working in correctional facilities or similar environments is a plus but not mandatory; comprehensive training will be provided for qualified candidates committed to public safety.
