THE POSITION

The Department of Corrections (DOC), State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Huntingdon is seeking a Corrections General Industries Factory Supervisor ready to support a fast paced wood shop environment. This position gives you the chance to oversee production, coach workers, and help keep manufacturing moving smoothly. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supervises staff and inmate workers in the manufacturing and delivery of wood shop products while maintaining safe and efficient operations. It supports production planning, inventory oversight, and quality control from start to finish. As a Corrections General Industries Factory Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:

Staff Leadership:

Direct daily work, provide training, and guide performance expectations for staff and inmate workers

Product Oversight:

Review design, materials, and production steps to ensure quality and efficiency

Production Planning:

Coordinate schedules, maintain inventory levels, and keep ample supply of finished goods to satisfy standing orders

Material Management:

Supervise ordering, receiving, and storage of supplies and equipment

Record Keeping:

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 40 hours per week Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday

• Friday.

This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.

Telework:

You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Salary:

Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $58,273.00 (before taxes). REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year as a Corrections General Industries Factory Foreperson (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of experience in the production of goods or services, which includes one year of lead work experience; or An equivalent combination of experience and training, which includes one year of lead work experience in the production of goods or services.

Other Requirements:
