Hiring Rate $26.52 hour based on education and position related experience while in training; upon completion of training•27.85•40.23/hour based on education and position related experience.

JOB SUMMARY

Experienced officers begin at the Probationary Officer pay rate but advance to the experienced rate after successfully completing the field training program. This position performs intake and release functions, floor monitoring, serving at the control counter, preparing and filing reports, supervision of inmates and other related functions. Must follow universal precaution standards for blood borne diseases. This is an entry level position. Successful candidates have an opportunity to advance through a career development program within the Sheriff's Office.
