Description
Reporting directly to a Sergeant or Lieutenant, responsible for supervising inmates and providing care, safety, and security while maintaining rules, regulations, and cleanliness of the Williamson County Jail. Armed assignment.
Assists in maintaining security of the correctional and courthouse complex facilities
Receives, books, and secures inmates upon arrival
Conducts daily physical inspections and searches of the facilities, inmates, and visitors
Supervises inmate's activities (i.e., court appearances, recreation, visitation, meals, etc.)
Transports inmates to and from various locations
Serves warrants and other legal documents within the Jail
Assists in responding to emergency calls and routine complaints
Maintains Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) licensing requirements, such as firearms qualifications, continued education, etc.
Maintains level of physical fitness necessary to perform the duties of a peace officer
Performs special duties as assigned
Bailiff Assignment
Conducts screens and searches at the entrance of the court facility
Ensures safety of judges and all persons within and surrounding the court facilities
Maintains security during all court proceedings, including maintaining the custody of inmates
Makes arrests in court at direction of the Judge
Transports inmates, as well as arrested individuals, to the Williamson County Jail and completes all required documentation
Transports and guards jury members when necessary

One (1) year of experience working in a correctional facility supervising, transporting or monitoring inmates Bilingual (Spanish)EMPLOYMENT TESTING
