Job Description

Description Plant Accountant (Confidential Search) Our client, a growing and highly dynamic organization, is seeking a Plant Accountant to support operations at a key manufacturing site. This is a high-visibility role within a collaborative leadership team, offering strong exposure to operations and senior leadership. The position provides clear opportunities to expand responsibilities, influence processes, and grow within a multi-location environment. Position Overview The Plant Accountant will partner closely with plant leadership to deliver financial insights, support decision-making, and ensure accurate and timely reporting. This individual will play a critical role in analyzing performance, monitoring costs, and driving operational efficiency. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and wants to build a long-term career with advancement potential. Key Responsibilities Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities in accordance with established timelines Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts; investigate and resolve variances Perform account reconciliations, including bank accounts, intercompany balances, and key operational accounts Support intercompany transactions and ensure timely and accurate settlements Assist with payroll-related postings and reconciliations Partner with operations to track labor, project costs, and key performance metrics Review open items and resolve discrepancies within accounts payable and other subledgers Support internal and external audit requests and maintain strong documentation Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal controls For immediate and confidential consideration please call Jeff Sokolowski directly at (248)365-6131 or apply directly today.
