Cost Accounting Analyst

Robert Half is partnering with a well-established, locally recognized organization to hire a Cost Accounting Analyst for a unique, operations-focused role. This position blends accounting fundamentals with heavy data analysis, supporting high-volume production, inventory, and cost tracking processes. This is a direct-hire, on-site opportunity in the Albany, NY area.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze and reconcile production volume, inventory usage, shrink, and cost dataProcess and validate high-volume transactional data, ensuring accuracy across systemsManage weekly/monthly payments and reporting tied to production and procurement activityPrepare large-scale monthly reporting, including regulatory submissions and detailed reconciliationsReview and resolve discrepancies across data sources (e.g., operational inputs, lab data, tickets)Support month-end close with journal entries and account analysis (limited traditional accounting)Partner with internal and external stakeholders to address payment and reporting inquiriesIdentify process improvements and enhance reporting efficiency

Salary Range:
