Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Bring your compassion and expertise as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to an inspiring educational setting, where you'll play a key role in supporting students' growth and independence. This contract position offers a chance to collaborate with experienced professionals and positively impact children's lives every day. You'll work in a supportive school environment, providing direct therapy services and assisting with the development and implementation of individualized education plans. Your specialized skills will empower students to succeed in their daily activities and reach their full potential, academically and beyond.
Qualifications:
Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Valid state licensure to practice as a COTA Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational or pediatric setting preferred Strong communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to adapt techniques to meet diverse student needs Proficiency in documentation and progress reporting Collaborative spirit for working with teachers, therapists, and families
Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist Assist in assessing students' needs and developing treatment plans Foster development of fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills Encourage students' participation and progress in classroom and school activities Track and document student progress, maintaining accurate and timely records Communicate with team members, educators, and families about student goals and achievements Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal-setting for students
