Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), where your expertise will make a meaningful impact on students' lives. Collaborate closely with a dynamic team of educators and therapists to help children achieve their educational and developmental milestones in a supportive school environment near Portales, NM.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program Valid state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification Minimum one year of recent experience as a COTA, preferably in school or pediatric settings Successful completion of a comprehensive background check Ongoing commitment to professional development and required continuing education credits
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) Carry out therapeutic interventions and tailor activities to support student progress Document students' achievements, communicating insights for treatment adjustments Foster positive relationships with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student success Ensure meticulous and compliant record-keeping as per state and district guidelines Pursue professional growth through continuous learning and participation in development programs You'll be supported throughout every stage of your assignment with regular communication and assistance from a dedicated recruiter.
