- La Bella of Edwardsville La Bella of Edwardsville is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team on a PRN (as needed) basis. In this role, you will work under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide quality rehabilitative care that helps residents improve functional abilities, regain independence, and enhance their overall quality of life. This position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive skilled nursing environment. Responsibilities Assist residents with therapeutic activities and exercises designed to improve strength, mobility, coordination, and daily living skills. Support residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, mobility, and functional transfers. Carry out individualized treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist while monitoring resident response and progress. Document treatments, patient performance, and progress accurately in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines. Communicate effectively with residents, families, therapists, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care. Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment while adhering to infection control procedures and healthcare regulations. Encourage resident participation and motivation throughout therapy sessions to support positive outcomes. Assist with restorative and rehabilitative programs focused on maximizing resident independence and quality of life. Qualifications Current certification and licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, or long-term care setting preferred. Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles, anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation techniques. Experience assisting geriatric populations with ADLs and therapeutic interventions is preferred. Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team. Pay:
