Job Description

Position Overview The Fusion Recovery Center Clinician plays a critical role in providing comprehensive counseling services for individuals facing alcoholism and substance use disorders. This position offers the opportunity to work in an integrated outpatient setting, delivering individual and group therapy using evidence-based practices. The Clinician will complete psychosocial intake assessments and collaborate closely with the Program Director, Clinical Supervisor, support staff, medical team, and other clinicians. As the regional leader in integrated behavioral health care, we are seeking top-tier professionals with the passion and drive to elevate service delivery in this vital field. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and maintain a personal caseload. Utilize evidence-based practices (e.g., Motivational Interviewing, CBT) and standardized assessment tools to address substance use and mental health disorders. Perform phone screenings to determine client suitability and provide telehealth sessions for clients facing transportation barriers. Coordinate client intakes and medical appointments and liaise with government agencies such as CPS and probation offices. Administer and interpret applicable screening tools and manage electronic medical records (EMR). Collaborate with Finance and Billing departments to ensure financial clearance and proper APG billing processes. Orient clients to program policies, rules, and regulations, and conduct monthly orientation sessions for new admissions. Monitor and reconcile census data and ensure timely submission of OASAS Client Data System forms (PAS 44/45). Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in regular clinical supervision and interdisciplinary meetings. Educate clients on substance use disorders, treatment options, and available community resources. Conduct random toxicology testing as necessary. Support recovery efforts using medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and ensure compliance with all required training and certifications. Education and Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (Associate Degree preferred). Valid and unrestricted
NYS OASAS
certification as a CASAC/ LMSW or LMHC, must possess a valid and current New York State education license for that credential. Must be a Qualified Health Professional (QHP). Skills and Competencies Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills. Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment and as part of a multidisciplinary team. High proficiency in managing electronic health records Capability to multitask and perform under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor.
