Print Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Deliver a comprehensive counseling program through classroom lessons focused on communication, problem-solving, self-esteem, conflict resolution, and decision-making Provide individual and group counseling to support academic, social, and emotional growth Assist students in developing academic and personal goals Assist students through individual and group counseling sessions. Support student transitions between grade levels, programs, and schools Provide crisis intervention and coordinate referrals to appropriate services and agencies Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to address student needs Support student intervention programs and school-wide recognition activities Maintain visibility on campus, including during lunch and recess; assist with supervision and extracurricular activities Serve as liaison to community agencies and support services Prepare records, reports, and communications for families, staff, and agencies (Includes state reimbursement programs) Assist with Family Life/Health Education and prevention programs (e.g., Drug, Alcohol, Tobacco Education) Conduct presentations, parent education, and home visits as needed Participate in ongoing professional development and evaluate counseling program effectiveness Perform related duties as assigned Requirements / Qualifications Copy of Transcript Credential Copy Driver's License Copy Fingerprint Clearance (California DOJ and FBI Fingerprint Clearance following initial job offer) Letter of Introduction Letter(s) of Recommendation (3 Letters of Recommendation Required ) Resume TB Screening Result (Within the last 4 years) Pupil Personnel Services Credential - Basic Pupil Personnel Services Requirements / Qualifications Copy of Transcript Credential Copy Driver's License Copy Fingerprint Clearance (California DOJ and FBI Fingerprint Clearance following initial job offer) Letter of Introduction Letter(s) of Recommendation (3 Letters of Recommendation Required ) Resume TB Screening Result (Within the last 4 years) Pupil Personnel Services Credential - Basic Pupil Personnel Services Comments and Other Information Plumas Lake Elementary School District is an inclusive environment which cultivates creative, curious, resourceful, and inspiring learners who will make positive contributions within their local, national, and global communities.
