Counter Help

Job Summary We are seeking friendly and efficient Counter Help to join our team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, handle food and transactions accurately, and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. This role offers an opportunity to gain experience in the food industry, develop sales skills, and work in a dynamic café or quick-service setting. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist with their orders in person Prepare and assemble food items according to established standards, including basic food preparation and handling Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and payments Manage cash handling accurately, including cash register operations and change distribution Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales Maintain cleanliness of the counter area, including bussing tables and sanitation practices Ensure food safety standards are adhered to, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures Assist with restocking supplies and organizing the workspace for efficiency Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction Skills Experience in food service, quick service, or fast-food restaurant environments preferred Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and kitchen calculations Ability to perform food preparation tasks efficiently while maintaining sanitation standards Excellent time management to handle multiple orders during busy periods Sales skills with an aptitude for upselling menu items effectively Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques Previous experience in a café, retail store, or grocery environment is advantageous Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail This position offers an engaging work environment where you can develop valuable skills in customer service, sales, food handling, and operations within the vibrant food industry.

Pay:

$10.00 - $12.00 per hour
