Description:
This position will be responsible for the pick-up and delivery of mail and other items/parts including chemicals as needed for the location. Will assist with keeping the grounds free of trash and the removal of snow and ice while maintaining a safe environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Task:
Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs, bend, stretch, reach, work in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors. Will be required to obtain the certification and operate a forklift, street sweeper and tractor. Must have the ability to read and understand policies, procedures and regulations. Must have the ability to document information. Must have the ability to communicate with others written and verbally. Will be responsible for all other duties assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
This position requires a valid Arkansas Driver's License and clean driving record. Applicants must be 18 years of age. Applicants who have worked for Tyson three times will not be considered. Minimum 6 month waiting period from previous Tyson employment. All job offers are based on the conditions that the candidate can provide proof of authorization to work legally in the United States and pass a urinalysis screening which is part of the post-offer health assessment. Applicant will need to reapply next month and have an active application to be considered for employment The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud . Must have mechanical/maintenance skills listed in work history or skills section of application. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days. Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Tyson Foods.
