Job Description

Category Nursing - CVOR Tech Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) teams by providing expert technical assistance during surgical procedures. This contract opportunity is designed for professionals passionate about delivering high-quality patient care alongside skilled surgical teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
Experience as a CVOR Tech or similar nursing support role Proficient in setting up, maintaining, and operating CVOR equipment Strong understanding of sterile technique and infection prevention Current certification as a surgical technologist or CVOR technician, where applicable Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia staff Ability to remain focused and composed in fast-paced, high-pressure situations Familiarity with cardiovascular surgical procedures preferred

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, organize, and maintain the cardiovascular operating room for scheduled and emergency procedures Assist surgeons and OR staff during cardiovascular surgeries, ensuring all instruments and equipment are readily available and functioning properly Monitor, anticipate, and respond to the needs of the surgical team before, during, and after procedures Ensure strict adherence to sterile field protocols and assist with draping and prepping patients Handle instruments, specimens, and supplies with attention to detail and precision Support post-operative room turnover, cleaning, and restocking supplies as needed Contribute to consistent, clear documentation and communication regarding surgical processes and patient needs This position offers professional development within an environment that values skillful collaboration, accountability, and dedication to patient well-being.
