This role offers a unique opportunity to foster a love of learning through hands-on, experiential education in a natural setting. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, creativity, and expertise in early childhood education to create a vibrant, supportive environment that nurtures each child's developmental needs. As a key member of our educational team, you will inspire curiosity, promote social-emotional growth, and implement innovative teaching strategies tailored to young learners. Duties Develop and implement dynamic, outdoor curriculum aligned with state standards and personalized to meet diverse learning styles and student needs. Facilitate engaging lessons in literacy, math, science, social studies, and physical education that encourage active participation and exploration. Monitor student progress through formative assessments, learning technology tools, and observational data to ensure continuous growth. Manage classroom behavior with positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies to create a safe and respectful environment. Collaborate with parents through regular communication regarding student performance, milestones, and developmental progress. Adapt instructional methods to accommodate children with special needs or autism spectrum disorder, ensuring inclusive learning experiences. Integrate educational technology and library resources to enhance lesson delivery and foster independent learning skills. Requirements Valid teaching credential or certification for elementary or early childhood education from an accredited institution. Proven experience teaching young children in classroom or outdoor settings with a strong understanding of childhood development principles. Knowledge of curriculum development, implementation, and assessment methods for early learners. Experience working with children with diverse learning needs, including special education and early intervention strategies. Strong classroom management skills combined with excellent communication skills for effective parent-teacher engagement. Familiarity with educational technology tools, standardized testing procedures, and data analysis for student performance monitoring. Ability to adapt instruction based on individual learning styles and provide differentiated instruction to meet varied student needs.
